Stew Leonard III Water Safety Foundation

The Stew Leonard III Water Safety Foundation is a non-profit organization based in Norwalk, Connecticut. Founded in 1990 by Kim and Stew Leonard Jr., the Foundation is dedicated to preventing childhood drowning accidents, the leading cause of accidental death in children under five. The Foundation works to achieve its mission through a variety of programs and initiatives. These include providing swim scholarships and lifeguard training, as well as creating educational resources. They have authored and published two children's books on water safety, "Stewie the Duck Learns to Swim" and "Swim Time with Stewie the Duck", and developed a mobile game and a free water safety app available on multiple platforms. The Stew Leonard III Water Safety Foundation has raised over $2 million since its inception, demonstrating its commitment to making a tangible impact on water safety.
