St Tammany Fire District 13

St. Tammany Parish Fire District No.13, also known as the Goodbee Fire Department, is a fire protection agency serving Covington, Louisiana. Established in 1988, the District employs three full-time and approximately 40 part-time firefighters and staff, covering a population of approximately 5,000 residents across 30 square miles of western St. Tammany Parish. St. Tammany Parish Fire District No.13 provides a range of services, including fire protection, emergency medical services, hazardous materials response, and multifaceted rescue capabilities. These services are delivered through three fire stations strategically located across the district. In 2015, the district responded to 652 incidents, a significant portion of which involved rescue and medical calls. The District prioritizes training and collaboration, engaging in monthly drills with neighboring fire districts at Fire District 4's training facility. St. Tammany Parish Fire District No.13 also participates in mutual aid agreements with Fire District 2 (Madisonville), Fire District 5 (Folsom), and the City of Covington, ensuring coordinated response efforts within the region.
