Spindletop Center

Spindletop Center is a community mental health center located in Beaumont, Texas. Founded in 2000, the center employs over 400 staff members. Spindletop Center provides behavioral health care services to individuals experiencing mental illness, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and chemical dependency. Their services extend to Jefferson, Orange, Hardin, and Chambers counties, serving approximately 8,000 consumers annually. The center's name is inspired by the historic Spindletop oil gusher, a significant event that marked the beginning of the American oil industry. Spindletop Center aims to similarly usher in a new era for mental health, intellectual and developmental disabilities, developmental disability, and chemical dependency services in Southeast Texas.
