Special Warfare Training Wing

The Special Warfare Training Wing (SWTW) is a military unit based in Lackland AFB, Texas. A relatively small organization, the SWTW employs 16 individuals. The SWTW is responsible for training and developing Special Warfare Airmen. This includes preparing personnel for roles such as Pararescuemen (PJ), Combat Control Teams (CCT), Special Operations Weather Technicians (SOWT), and Pararescue Jumpers (PJ), equipping them for a range of combat operations worldwide. Their training programs extend across seven states, ensuring a comprehensive and robust preparation for these specialized roles. The SWTW's unique specialization in training highly skilled Airmen for highly demanding combat operations sets it apart.
