Southern Highland Craft Guild

The Southern Highland Craft Guild is a non-profit organization based in Asheville, North Carolina. Employing 19 people, the Guild has been a significant force in promoting and supporting craft artisans for nearly a century. The Guild's mission centers around fostering the Southern Highlands craft economy. They achieve this through the operation of four craft shops, offering a platform for nearly 900 craftspeople across 293 counties in nine southeastern states to showcase and sell their work. The Guild also hosts two annual craft expositions, providing a wider audience for artisans and opportunities for cultural exchange. Beyond retail and exhibitions, the Guild is dedicated to education and community engagement. They offer craft demonstrations at their retail locations and expos, organize free educational community events, and maintain a public library at their headquarters, accessible to anyone interested in learning more about craft traditions and techniques.
