Southeast Area Transit District

Southeast Area Transit District (SEAT) is a public agency based in Preston, Connecticut. Operating as a multi-municipal organization, SEAT serves nine towns in Southeastern Connecticut: East Lyme, Griswold, Groton, Ledyard, Lisbon, Montville, New London, Norwich, Stonington, and Waterford. SEAT provides public transportation services through a coordinated bus transit system. Their mission is to operate a safe and effective regional transportation system that enhances the quality of life for residents, businesses, and visitors in Southeastern Connecticut. SEAT aims to meet the current and future transportation needs of the region. The agency is governed by a Board of Directors comprised of representatives appointed by each member town. SEAT strives to operate a comprehensive and efficient bus transit system at the lowest possible cost to users, member towns, and the State of Connecticut. SEAT's website can be found at seatbus.org.
