Sonoran Glass Art Academy

Sonoran Glass Art Academy is a non-profit educational organization located in Tucson, Arizona. Founded in 2001, the Academy is a leading provider of glass arts education in the desert southwest, employing a team of four individuals. The Academy offers a wide range of classes for students of all ages, from 5 years old and up. Instruction includes furnace glassblowing, lampworking, glass fusing, stained glass, mosaics, kiln casting, and coldworking. Small class sizes, typically limited to 8 students, ensure individualized attention from instructors, who include both gifted locals and renowned international artists. Sonoran Glass Art Academy partners with the University of Arizona and Pima Community College to offer college credits in glass arts. Additionally, the Academy seeks to provide subsidized glass arts programs for underprivileged youth in the Tucson area, fostering accessibility and inclusivity within the art community.
