Solar Gators

Solar Gators is a student organization based in Gainesville, Florida. Comprised of passionate engineers and designers from the University of Florida, the team is dedicated to creating and racing a solar-powered vehicle. The organization designs, builds, and races a solar-powered vehicle that competes in the Formula Sun Grand Prix and the American Solar Challenge. Through these competitions, Solar Gators aims to raise awareness about sustainability within the university, local community, and globally. The team strives to support the Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering by equipping graduates with the skills sought after by employers and providing opportunities for advanced studies.
