Shift Zero

Shift Zero is a small alliance based in Seattle, Washington, with fewer than 5 employees. The organization focuses its efforts on advocating for policies and programs that promote energy efficiency and eliminate emissions from buildings within the state. Shift Zero’s work centers on creating a just transition to zero carbon buildings for all residents of Washington State. They strive to achieve this by identifying and promoting proven design approaches and building technologies that can be scaled up to meet the urgency of the climate crisis. Their advocacy efforts aim to educate decision-makers on the benefits of high-performance, resilient buildings and ensure affordable access to them. This alliance comprises over 50 organizations dedicated to green building, energy efficiency, affordable housing, and climate action.
