SeaShare

SeaShare is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation located in Bainbridge Island, Washington. Founded in 1994, SeaShare operates with a dedicated team of four employees. SeaShare's mission is to combat hunger and malnutrition by providing high-protein seafood meals to food banks across the United States. They achieve this by accepting donations of seafood products, processing services, transportation, packaging, and financial contributions. These donations are then utilized to create readily usable seafood products for distribution to food banks, soup kitchens, and food pantries. Through partnerships with the seafood industry, SeaShare has donated over 250 million seafood meals nationwide, establishing the seafood industry as one of the largest providers of high-quality protein to food banks. SeaShare's commitment to addressing hunger and ensuring adequate nutrition, particularly for children, drives their efforts. Their work focuses on providing essential protein sources that are often inaccessible to families experiencing food insecurity.
