SCU Mock Trial

Santa Clara Mock Trial is a small, undergraduate-based organization located in Santa Clara, California. Comprised of three employees, the team is dedicated to providing its members with valuable legal experience and skills development. Santa Clara Mock Trial is an award-winning program registered with The American Mock Trial Association (AMTA). Each year, the team receives a new case from AMTA and develops a comprehensive case theory for both the prosecution/plaintiff and defense. Through regular practices and participation in tournaments, members enhance their critical thinking, creativity, and public speaking abilities. The team distinguishes itself through its commitment to excellence and its focus on experiential learning. By participating in mock trials, students gain hands-on experience in legal research, argumentation, and courtroom procedure.
