Scarlett Family Foundation

The Scarlett Family Foundation is a private foundation located in Nashville, Tennessee. Established in 2005 by Joe and Dorothy Scarlett and their children, the foundation is dedicated to improving educational opportunities for students in Middle Tennessee. With a staff of three, the Scarlett Family Foundation has disbursed over $2.5 million in revenue annually. The foundation's primary focus is providing merit and need-based college scholarships to Middle Tennessee students pursuing business and STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) degrees. In addition to scholarships, the foundation also awards grants to non-profit organizations working to enhance education in Middle Tennessee. These grants support four key initiatives: college and career readiness, principal and teacher leadership, high-quality schools, and advocacy. Since its inception, the Scarlett Family Foundation has awarded over $19 million in scholarships, assisting more than 700 students from 148 high schools in 37 counties across Middle Tennessee.
