Savannah State University

Savannah State University is a public institution of higher learning located in Savannah, Georgia. Founded in 1890, the university holds the distinction of being the first public historically black college or university in Georgia and the first institution of higher education in Savannah. With a staff of 392 employees, Savannah State University serves a diverse student population. Savannah State University offers 30 undergraduate and five graduate programs across four colleges: Business Administration, Education, Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, and Sciences and Technology.
