San Diego Data Processing Corporation

San Diego Data Processing Corporation (SDDPC) is a corporation based in San Diego, California. Founded in 1979 by The City of San Diego, SDDPC employed 15 people and generated $100 million in revenue. The company was originally created to manage the city's data communication infrastructure outside of the city's standard wage and hour regulations. Over its history, SDDPC provided a wide range of services related to data and voice communications, applications development, program management, and purchasing and contracting for the City of San Diego and other municipalities. The company developed numerous applications used by various city departments and was known for its expertise in purchasing and contracting. In 2010, the City of San Diego restructured its IT services, leading to a bidding process that resulted in contracts awarded to Xerox, Atos, and CGI for the telecommunications, data center, and applications components, respectively.
