Salem Area Visiting Nurse Association (SAVNA) is a non-profit home health agency located in Salem, Ohio. Founded over a century ago in 1919, SAVNA has served patients in Columbiana County, southern Mahoning County, and eastern Stark County. With a small team of three employees, the agency has grown to generate $50 million in annual revenue. SAVNA offers a wide range of home health services, including skilled nursing, home infusion services, cardiac home care, diabetes management, and maternal/child health. They also provide pediatric services, restorative nursing, behavioral health programs, laboratory services, home health aide support, as well as physical, occupational, and speech therapies. A leader in home health care in northeast Ohio, SAVNA obtained accreditation by the Joint Commission of Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) in 1994.
