Route 66 Marathon

The Williams Route 66 Marathon is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation based in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Founded in 2006, the organization is comprised of three employees and generates annual revenue of $2.5 million. The Williams Route 66 Marathon is best known for its annual marathon event, which includes a full marathon, half marathon, marathon relay, 5k run and walk, one-mile fun run and walk, and a mascot dash. The weekend-long event also features a free Health and Fitness Expo open to the public. The Marathon attracts approximately 14,000 participants each year from across the United States and 20 countries. As a nonprofit organization, a key focus of the Williams Route 66 Marathon is community engagement. The organization annually donates over $50,000 to six local charities and offers participants the opportunity to earn a free race entry through a Charity Challenge program.
