Roland George Investment Program

The Roland George Investment Fund is a student-run investment fund based in DeLand, Florida. The program manages approximately $6.2 million in capital and currently has 27 employees. The Roland George Investment Fund offers students a unique opportunity to learn about portfolio management through real-world experience. Students in the program develop their own investment strategies and objectives, utilizing tools such as the Bloomberg Terminal and Thomson Reuters Eikon to conduct research and analysis. They present their recommendations to their peers and an investments committee, mirroring the structure of a traditional investment management firm. The program differentiates itself through its hands-on, experiential approach. Students work collaboratively, pitching their investment ideas and defending them in a corporate-like boardroom setting within the Lynn Business Center. Twice a year, these presentations are open to the public at RGIP Public Trustee Meetings, providing further exposure and learning opportunities.
