## Rock River Valley Blood Center Rock River Valley Blood Center is a non-profit organization based in Rockford, Illinois. The organization employs approximately 110 people and is governed by an eleven-member Board of Directors. Rock River Valley Blood Center provides safe and high-value blood products and services to people in need. They supply the total blood needs for eight area hospitals, including Beloit Memorial Hospital, Edgerton Hospital and Health Services, Freeport Health Network, OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center, Rochelle Community Hospital, Rockford Memorial Hospital, SwedishAmerican Hospital, and To meet the needs of these hospitals, RRVBC must collect more than 10,000 units of blood each week. They rely on donors from six counties in the Rock River Valley, including Winnebago, Boone, McHenry, Ogle, and Stephenson counties in Illinois and Rock County in Wisconsin. Rock River Valley Blood Center operates four locations and conducts up to three mobile blood drives each day. They are regulated by the Food and Drug Administration, accredited by the American Association of Blood Banks, and a member of Americas Blood Centers.
