REVERB

REVERB is a nonprofit organization based in Portland, Maine, dedicated to promoting sustainability within the music industry. Founded in 2004, the organization is staffed by 14 employees and has generated revenue exceeding $10,000. REVERB partners with a diverse range of stakeholders, including artists, festivals, venues, and industry leaders, to minimize their environmental impact. REVERB's primary focus is on reducing the carbon footprint of concerts and tours. They achieve this by working directly with artists like Billie Eilish, Maroon 5, P!nk, Harry Styles, Dave Matthews Band, and Jack Johnson, to implement sustainable practices across their projects. REVERB has successfully green over 300 tours and 7,000 concert events, resulting in the neutralization of 390,000+ tons of CO2e and the prevention of over 4 million single-use plastic bottles being used at events. In addition to its work within the music industry, REVERB actively engages in climate campaigns aimed at mobilizing the music community against climate change. The Music Climate Revolution and Music Decarbonization Project have collectively inspired millions of climate actions and raised over $6 million to support various initiatives, including greenhouse gas reduction projects, addressing climate injustice, and advancing the decarbonization of the music industry.
