RECETAS PROJECT

RECETAS PROJECT is a US-based project focusing on creating community-driven well-being initiatives. With a small team of 5 employees, the project focuses on developing innovative solutions to combat loneliness and improve mental and physical health in urban environments. The project centers around "Nature-based Social Prescribing," a concept that integrates nature-inspired activities into social prescribing programs. RECETAS PROJECT envisions activities like group walks in parks, swimming in lakes, and communal gardening as tools to foster connection and enhance overall well-being. Funded by the European Commission's H2020 program, RECETAS PROJECT collaborates with a consortium of 13 institutions from nine different countries. This international partnership brings together diverse expertise to research, design, and implement pilot programs in six cities across the globe.
