Queen City Kitchen

Queen City Kitchen is a non-profit organization located in Cincinnati, Ohio. Founded in 1976, the organization began as the Over-the-Rhine Kitchen and has grown to serve all Cincinnati residents. With a small staff of five employees, Queen City Kitchen relies heavily on volunteers to carry out its mission. Queen City Kitchen provides meals to individuals experiencing poverty throughout Cincinnati. The organization operates two locations, one in Over-the-Rhine at 1620 Vine Street and another in Walnut Hills housed in the Geiger House. The organization's mission is rooted in the belief that people experience poverty for many reasons, and that alleviating hunger is an essential act of compassion. Queen City Kitchen strives to provide a welcoming and judgment-free environment where everyone can access a nutritious meal.
