Projects for Peace

Projects for Peace is a program based in Middlebury, Vermont, dedicated to empowering young adults to become agents of positive change. The organization employs six people and generates approximately $2.5 million in annual revenue. Projects for Peace offers grants of $10,000 to 125 or more student leaders annually to implement projects addressing global challenges. These "Projects for Peace" are implemented worldwide, typically during summer break. The program is designed to be highly flexible, welcoming proposals from students of any age, major, and nationality enrolled at partner institutions. Projects can be individual or collaborative endeavors undertaken anywhere in the world. A key characteristic of Projects for Peace is its emphasis on empowering student-driven solutions. The program encourages participants to develop innovative and sustainable responses to pressing global issues, fostering their growth as peacebuilders and changemakers. Since its inception in 2007 by Kathryn W. Davis, Projects for Peace has funded over 2,000 projects across 139 countries.
