Project RAISE at California State University Fullerton

Project RAISE at California State University Fullerton is a program dedicated to supporting Latina/o/e and low-income STEM students. Based in Fullerton, California, Project RAISE is a relatively small program with a team of 5 employees. The program offers a comprehensive suite of services designed to increase the success of its participants. Students can participate in outreach visits to the CSUF campus, including presentations and lab tours. Project RAISE also hosts presentations at partner community colleges. The Undergraduate Research Program (URE) is an eight-week summer research experience led by CSUF faculty. The RAISE Transfer Program (RTP) provides peer advising and academic support for students transferring to CSUF. The Internship Preparation Program (IPP) is a dedicated program to help RTP participants explore internship opportunities. A research preparation program, focused on post-transfer research opportunities, is slated to launch in the fall of 2022. Project RAISE distinguishes itself through its commitment to fostering diverse representation in STEM fields, specifically targeting Latina/o/e and low-income students.
