Project Mercy

Project Mercy, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization based in Fort Wayne, Indiana. It is a registered 501(c)(3) organization led by a nine-person board and employs 20 to 49 people. Since its inception, Project Mercy has focused on addressing the root causes of poverty in rural Ethiopia through a variety of community development initiatives. Project Mercy's mission is to transform lives and communities in Ethiopia. To achieve this, the organization provides a range of services including the construction of schools and hospitals, skills training, agricultural development programs, clean water delivery, and infrastructure development like all-season roads. These projects are designed to be integrated and holistic, addressing not just the symptoms of poverty but the underlying causes. Project Mercy emphasizes community involvement and partnership in all its efforts. The organization believes in empowering local communities to take ownership of their development and create sustainable change. Project Mercy's approach is rooted in the belief that lasting transformation is achieved through education, health, food security, and character development.
