Project Access Howard County Medical Society

Project Access Howard County Medical Society is a non-profit organization based in Kokomo, Indiana. With three employees, the organization has generated over $1 million in revenue. Project Access Howard County Medical Society was established as a service project of the Howard County Medical Society, Inc. and was created to address the challenges of providing healthcare to uninsured and low-income residents in Howard County. Project Access provides access to healthcare services for uninsured residents of Howard County. Since its inception in September 2004, the program has documented over 2,250 individuals receiving donated healthcare services valued at $10.1 million. In the previous year alone, Project Access served 540 Howard County residents, with the support of 153 participating physicians. The scope of services offered ranges from basic preventative care to comprehensive oncology treatment. The organization also runs a medication assistance program, which has provided over one million dollars worth of prescription medications to clients at no cost within the past two years.
