Presbyterian Social Ministries (PSMJax) is a non-profit organization based in Jacksonville, Florida. Founded in 2004, PSMJax initially operated as a dormitory program for mission-minded individuals. With a small staff of three, the organization has grown to generate $2.5 million in annual revenue. PSMJax provides a variety of services to the Jacksonville community. Their Home Safe program offers permanent housing solutions to 60 individuals and families who were previously homeless. Additionally, the Clothing with Purpose program collects and distributes clothing, household items, toys, and baby supplies to over 100 partner agencies throughout Florida and beyond. Each year, PSMJax distributes over 133,000 items of clothing and serves over 20,000 people. PSMJax collaborates with other organizations to expand their reach and impact. Their initial Urban Mission Experience program, which provided housing for mission-minded individuals, was adapted during the pandemic to serve traveling healthcare workers.
