The Portofino Restaurant is a family-owned Italian restaurant located in Arlington, Virginia. Established in 1970, the restaurant has been serving fine Northern Italian cuisine for over five decades. Originally opened by Chef Sergio Micheli and his father Adelmo, The Portofino became the first restaurant in Crystal City to offer this type of cuisine. The Portofino Restaurant offers an authentic Italian dining experience featuring family recipes passed down through generations. In 1993, Sergio's son, Richard, a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, joined the family business, bringing his culinary skills to complement his father's expertise.
