Porter Billups Leadership Academy

The Porter-Billups Leadership Academy is a small non-profit organization based in Sherrelwood, Colorado. With a team of four employees, the Academy focuses on providing academic and leadership development to at-risk youth in Denver. The Porter-Billups Leadership Academy offers a unique program that combines academic support with leadership training. The program is designed to empower young people from underserved communities by providing them with the skills and resources they need to succeed in both school and life. The Academy's ultimate goal is to prepare graduates for college by offering scholarships through Regis University. Founded in 1996 by Regis University Men’s Head Basketball Coach Lonnie Porter, the Academy later partnered with NBA star Chauncey Billups in 2006 to expand its mission.
