Porchlight Wellness

Porchlight Wellness is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization based in Washington, D.C., dedicated to providing healing yoga and meditation workshops for women who have experienced sexual assault and abuse. With a small team of four employees, Porchlight Wellness focuses on creating a safe and supportive environment where women can learn and practice techniques proven to reduce the effects of post-traumatic stress. The organization offers a variety of programs, including in-person workshops, online classes, and Woman Warrior teacher trainings. These workshops equip participants with yoga and meditation skills to aid in their healing journey. Porchlight Wellness is committed to making these services accessible to all women, regardless of their financial situation, through low student fees and generous donor support. A core mission of Porchlight Wellness is to reach out to communities disproportionately affected by sexual violence. The organization strategically partners with and serves Black, Latinx, and Indigenous women, as well as women from marginalized and underserved communities, who may otherwise lack access to healing services.
