Planet Blue Student Leaders

Planet Blue Student Leaders is a small, part-time employee group based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Comprised of four individuals, the organization falls under the umbrella of Student Life at the University of Michigan. PBSLs dedicate their time to promoting sustainable living practices within the university community. They achieve this by serving as peer educators, guiding their peers towards environmentally conscious choices. In addition to education, PBSLs collaborate in small teams to execute projects designed to bolster sustainability across campus. These projects run throughout the academic year, addressing a variety of environmental concerns. A key aspect of the PBSL program involves continuous development of leadership skills. Weekly programs are designed to equip students with the tools and knowledge necessary to effectively lead and manage diverse, interdisciplinary project teams. This focus on leadership development aims to cultivate a new generation of sustainability advocates equipped to make a lasting impact.
