Pittsburgh History Landmarks Foundation

The Pittsburgh History & Landmarks Foundation is a non-profit organization based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Founded in 1964, the Foundation has grown to employ 26 people, including 20 full-time and 5 part-time staff members, supported by over 50 volunteers. The Foundation focuses on historic preservation, working to protect and revitalize architectural landmarks and historic neighborhoods in Allegheny County. They achieve this through a variety of methods, including providing loans and grants to support revitalization projects, and engaging in advocacy for historic preservation initiatives. PHLF's work has been recognized nationally, with former National Trust for Historic Preservation President Richard Moe stating that "There is not a preservation organization on the local level anywhere in the country that can match the work of the Pittsburgh History & Landmarks Foundation."
