Philadelphia Housing Authority

The Philadelphia Housing Authority, also known as PHA, is a public agency based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As the largest landlord in Pennsylvania, PHA is the nation's fourth largest housing authority, employing 1,150 people. PHA develops, acquires, leases, and operates affordable housing for residents of Philadelphia with limited incomes. Funding for these initiatives primarily comes from the federal government, with additional support from the city, state governments, and private investors. PHA operates similarly to a private property management company, employing best practices from the real estate industry.
