Palmetto Health is a large health care system based in Columbia, South Carolina. It is one of the largest employers in the state, with over 15,000 team members, physicians, and volunteers. Palmetto Health provides a wide range of healthcare services through its six acute-care hospitals in the Midlands region: Palmetto Health Baptist, Palmetto Health Baptist Parkridge, Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital, Palmetto Health Heart Hospital, Palmetto Health Richland, and Palmetto Health Tuomey. In addition, they co-own Baptist Easley Hospital in the South Carolina Upstate region. The system also includes the Palmetto Health-USC Medical Group, a multispecialty group with over 500 providers serving patients in more than 80 practices and nearly 100 locations.
