Paine Art Center and Gardens

The Paine Art Center and Gardens is a museum located in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The museum is a historic estate comprised of a mansion and expansive gardens. It features a staff of 25 employees. The Paine Art Center and Gardens preserves the historic architecture of the estate, showcasing the original interiors of the mansion created by its founders, Nathan and Jessie Kimberly Paine. The museum also displays selections from its art collection, acquired largely by the founders, within various rooms and settings throughout the estate. In addition to the mansion, the Paine maintains numerous display gardens with diverse designs and thousands of plant specimens. The museum features changing art exhibitions ranging from classical to contemporary as well as seasonal events like Nutcracker in the Castle during the holidays. The Paine Art Center and Gardens offers a wide variety of programs throughout the year, including events held in the carriage house and conservatory.
