Ohio Department of Natural Resources

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) is a government agency based in Columbus, Ohio, responsible for managing and preserving the state's natural resources. Established in 1949, ODNR employs a staff of 480 individuals and generates annual revenue of $1 billion. ODNR oversees a wide range of natural assets, including state parks, public lands, state forests, waterways, and recreation areas. Its mission is to ensure the sustainable use and conservation of these resources for present and future generations. The agency accomplishes this through several divisions, each specializing in a specific aspect of natural resource management.
