Ohio County Public Library

Ohio County Public Library is a public library system located in Bethlehem, West Virginia. It is a county-wide organization employing fourteen people and serving a population of nearly 6,000 residents. The library operates with funding from tax revenues and private donations. The library offers a wide variety of resources to its active patrons, including a circulating collection of 35,000 items, consisting of books, magazines, audiobooks, and DVDs. The library system comprises two distinct buildings. The historic Carnegie Building, constructed in 1916 with funds provided by Andrew Carnegie, houses non-circulating vintage materials, local history resources, genealogy services, and microfilm newspapers and equipment. The newer building, opened in the fall of 2007, complements the historical space and provides additional library services. Ohio County Public Library is open daily except Sundays.
