Nubian Message

Nubian Message is a biweekly student newspaper based in Raleigh, North Carolina. It is a small publication with a team of three employees. Founded in November 1992, the newspaper serves as the voice for underrepresented communities at North Carolina State University. Nubian Message provides a platform for students to explore diverse cultures, particularly Black culture, while promoting intersectional ideals. The paper offers a space for underrepresented groups to share their perspectives and stories, contributing to a more inclusive campus environment. New print editions are available every other Thursday during the academic year. The newspaper operates as part of Student Media at North Carolina State University, providing students with opportunities to develop their journalistic skills and contribute to campus discourse. Nubian Message aims to address the historical underrepresentation of Black students in existing media and strives to create a more representative and inclusive news landscape.
