Northern Illinois Special Recreation Association NISRA

Northern Illinois Special Recreation Association (NISRA) is a non-profit organization located in Crystal Lake, Illinois. NISRA employs 29 people and generates over $10,000 in annual revenue. NISRA provides recreational opportunities for children and adults with disabilities residing in McHenry County and parts of Cook, Lake, and Kane counties. They offer a wide variety of programs encompassing over 900 weekly recreation programs, special events, camps, and trips annually. NISRA also provides Special Olympics training and competition in 15 different sports, serving approximately 200 athletes.
