Nome Community Center

The Nome Community Center is a nonprofit organization based in Nome, Alaska. Incorporated as a 501(c)(3) in 1971, the center boasts a rich history dating back to 1901 as the Lavina Wallace Mission, established by the United Methodist Women. With a staff of 18 employees, the center is dedicated to improving the lives of residents in the Bering Straits Region. The Nome Community Center offers a wide range of vital community programs serving diverse age groups. These programs include the Nome Children's Home, XYZ Senior Center, Nome Food Bank, Family Services, Nome Boys and Girls Club, Obesity Prevention, Tobacco Prevention, and Alcohol Prevention.
