New Beginnings Sexual Assault Support Services

New Beginnings Sexual Assault Support Services is a non-profit organization based in Owensboro, Kentucky. The organization is small, with a staff of four employees. New Beginnings provides confidential crisis and long-term therapy services to survivors of sexual assault, regardless of when the assault occurred. Their services are available to individuals of all ages, as well as their families and friends. The organization is committed to serving all members of the community, including minorities, LGBTQIA individuals, people with disabilities, and other special populations. In addition to therapy services, New Beginnings offers preventative and informational programs to help men, women, and children learn how to stay safe from sexual victimization. The organization has expanded its focus on prevention programming in recent years. Currently, three prevention educators work with K-12 students to provide education and support.
