Navy Regional Maintenance Center and Surface Ship Maintenance Modernization and Sustainment

Commander, Navy Regional Maintenance Center (CNRMC) is a field activity of Naval Sea Systems (NAVSEA) Command headquartered in Washington D.C. It is a command with approximately 14 employees and $1 billion in revenue. CNRMC operates and oversees the Navy Regional Maintenance Centers (RMCs) globally, providing support to keep the Navy's warships operational. These centers execute U.S. Navy surface ship sustainment, maintenance, and modernization. Their services include surface ship maintenance and modernization availabilities, intermediate level repairs, total ship readiness assessments, and technical assistance. CNRMC collaborates with private industry to deliver these services and works in partnership with NAVSEA's Directorate for Logistics, Maintenance & Industrial Operations (SEA 04). The command has subordinate commands located in various strategic locations across the globe including Naples, Italy; Rota, Spain; Manama, Bahrain; Norfolk, Virginia; Mayport, Florida; San Diego, California; Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility, Hawaii; Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility, Washington; and the U.S. Naval Ship Repair Facility and Japan Regional Maintenance Center.
