National Trauma Institute

The Coalition for National Trauma Research is a non-profit organization based in San Antonio, Texas. Founded in 2014, the organization is comprised of leaders from prominent trauma organizations such as the American Association for the Surgery of Trauma (AAST), the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma (ACS-COT), the Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma (EAST), the American Burn Association (ABA), and the Western Trauma Association (WTA). CNTR advocates for and manages funding for trauma research, acting as a national coordinating center. Building upon the legacy of the former National Trauma Institute, which secured and managed $90 million for trauma research since 2006, CNTR continues to support advancements in the field. CNTR's primary function is to facilitate trauma research funding, connecting researchers with vital resources.
