NATIONAL COUNCIL FOR PRESERVATION EDUCATION NCPE

NATIONAL COUNCIL FOR PRESERVATION EDUCATION (NCPE) is a non-profit organization based in Ithaca, New York. Founded in 1978, NCPE supports academics, professionals, students, and the general public interested in historic preservation. NCPE offers a variety of resources, including the NCPE's Guide to Academic Programs in Historic Preservation and Allied Fields, which helps prospective students explore degree programs. They also publish the peer-reviewed Preservation Education & Research (PER) Journal, a platform for sharing information about preservation education and research. Additionally, NCPE hosts an annual membership meeting and banquet, recognizing outstanding preservation educators with the James Marston Fitch Award. They sponsor internships for students and recent graduates in partnership with the National Park Service, conduct educational conferences and webinars, and maintain PreserveNet, a comprehensive online resource for individuals involved in historic preservation.
