National Chicken Council

The National Chicken Council (NCC) is a non-profit trade association based in Washington D.C. The NCC is a full-service trade association with 17 employees and $2.5 million in annual revenue. Founded in 1954, the organization represents the U.S. broiler chicken industry. The NCC promotes and protects the interests of broiler chicken producers, processors, fowl processors, allied industry members, and distributor members. Their mission includes serving as the industry's voice before Congress and federal agencies. Member companies encompass chicken producers and processors, poultry distributors, and allied industry firms. The NCC enforces guidelines and training for American broiler farmers, ensuring humane animal treatment and promoting the production of high-quality chicken products. Member producers and processors contribute to approximately 95% of U.S. chicken production. Through meetings and events, the NCC provides a forum for industry collaboration and problem-solving.
