National Black Chamber of Commerce

The National Black Chamber of Commerce® is a non-profit organization based in Washington, DC. Established in 1993, the NBCC is dedicated to the economic empowerment of African American communities through entrepreneurship and capitalistic activity. The NBCC provides resources and support to Black-owned businesses, aiming to reach the estimated 2.1 million businesses in the United States. They connect with businesses through 140 local chapters across the nation and international affiliate chapters in countries like Bahamas, Brazil, Colombia, Ghana, Kenya, France, Botswana, Cameroon, and Jamaica. Individuals and businesses can also become direct members of the national organization. The NBCC focuses on educating and training Black communities on participating actively in the American economy. They highlight the significant contributions of Black-owned businesses, which generate over $138 billion in revenue annually, according to the US Bureau of Census.
