National Association of Counties

The National Association of Counties (NACo) is a non-profit organization based in Washington, District of Columbia. Founded in 1935, NACo is the sole national organization dedicated to representing the interests of county governments across the United States. With a staff of 155 employees, NACo serves as a vital resource for America's 3,069 counties. NACo provides a wide range of services to its member counties, including policy advocacy, research and analysis, training and education, and financial services. The organization works to promote sound public policies that benefit counties and their residents, fosters innovation and collaboration among counties, and provides resources to help counties save money and improve efficiency.
