Moving Forward Towards Independence is a nonprofit organization based in Napa, California. Founded in 1998 by a group of parents, the organization provides support and resources to young adults with learning disabilities. With 43 employees, Moving Forward Towards Independence focuses on empowering individuals to achieve independence and lead fulfilling lives. The organization offers two distinct programs: the Transition Program and the Community Living Program. The Transition Program provides 24-hour supervision and structure, helping residents develop the skills needed to live independently. Upon successful completion of the Transition Program, residents can transition to the Community Living Program, which offers one-on-one case management, group activities, classes, and support services.
