Montana Natural History Center

The Montana Natural History Center is a non-profit organization based in Missoula, Montana. Founded in 1991, the Center is dedicated to promoting appreciation, understanding, and stewardship of nature through education. With 17 employees, the Montana Natural History Center has grown significantly since its inception, moving from its original location on the University of Montana campus to its current home at 120 Hickory Street, situated on the edge of McCormick Park. The Montana Natural History Center offers a wide range of resources and programs for the community. These include a natural history museum featuring an interactive children's area, native plant gardens, and a variety of educational programs for both adults and children. The Center also offers the Montana Master Naturalist certification course, produces "Field Notes on Montana Public Radio," and publishes the "Montana Naturalist" magazine twice a year. The Montana Natural History Center's exhibit center is open to the public from Tuesday through Saturday. Visitors can explore the museum, enjoy the gardens, and learn about the natural world through interactive exhibits and educational programs. The Center also hosts a variety of special events, including Evening Lectures, Naturalist Field Days, and Saturday Kids' Activities.
