Montana Legislature

The Montana Legislature is a state government body located in Helena, Montana. It is comprised of five entities: the Legislative Audit Division, Legislative Fiscal Division, Legislative Services Division, House, and Senate. This organization employs 125 people and generates an annual revenue of $100 million. The Montana Legislature's primary function is to create laws for the state of Montana. They are responsible for maintaining public order and ensuring the basic security of the state. The Montana Legislature operates as a part-time citizen legislature, with the House and Senate staff only working for four months every other year.
