Their proprietary SFDI technology, invented by Modulim's founder and CTO, was developed at UC Irvine’s Beckman Laser Institute. This noninvasive technology uses structured illumination and multiple wavelengths of light to assess tissue oxygenation and hemoglobin at various tissue depths.
